The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the provisional answer key for CTET February 2026 on March 12, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their answer key, response sheet, and scanned OMR images by logging into the official website ctet.nic.in.
The release follows the completion of the main examination held on February 7–8, 2026 and a re-examination conducted on March 1 in Hajipur, Vaishali (Bihar). With the answer key now available, candidates can estimate their scores before the official result announcement expected later this month.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 was conducted in offline mode using the traditional pen-and-paper format. The examination included:
Paper 1: For candidates aiming to teach Classes 1–5
Paper 2: For candidates aiming to teach Classes 6–8
The exam took place across multiple shifts and centers nationwide. However, due to technical issues at two examination centers in Hajipur, Vaishali (Bihar), a re-examination was conducted on March 1, 2026. The answer key release was slightly delayed to ensure fair evaluation after compiling all response sheets.

CTET 2026 Objection Window
CBSE has opened a short objection window for candidates who want to challenge any answer in the provisional key.

Challenge fee: ₹1000 per question
Payment mode: Online only
Objection period: 2–3 days from March 12
Fee is non-refundable, but may be adjusted if the challenge is accepted.
After reviewing objections, subject experts will release the final answer key. No further challenges will be accepted after that stage.
