“One Result, Thousands of Dreams — Bihar Police SI Journey Begins!”
The Bihar Daroga Result 2026 has officially been released by the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC). Candidates who appeared for the Sub-Inspector (SI) Preliminary Examination can now check their qualification status on the official website bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The exam was conducted on January 18 and January 21, 2026 for 1,799 vacancies, attracting massive participation from across Bihar.
The BPSSC conducted the preliminary examination to shortlist candidates for the next stage of the recruitment process. Out of the lakhs of applicants, only a limited number have qualified for the mains examination.
The merit list has been published in PDF format, which includes the roll numbers and categories of the candidates who qualified for the next round.
Exam Participation Statistics
The Bihar Daroga recruitment exam witnessed a huge response from candidates.
Total Registered Candidates: 10,36,702
Total Appeared Candidates: 7,26,231
Disqualified Candidates: 29,272
Candidates Qualified for Mains: ~35,980
Many candidates were disqualified due to form errors, incorrect details, or OMR sheet issues. Despite this, the competition remained intense due to the high number of applicants.
Expected Cutoff Marks
The official cutoff marks have not yet been released, but based on exam trends and candidate feedback, the expected cutoff may fall within the following ranges:
UR Male: 130 – 140
UR Female: 100 – 110
EBC / BC Male: 100 – 110
SC / ST Male: 85 – 95
Female category cutoffs are usually 10–15 marks lower than male candidates. Due to the large number of participants this year, cutoff marks may be slightly higher compared to previous years.
