📖 Vrat Katha

In ancient Bhogipura, King Pundarika ruled over Gandharvas. Lalit and Lalita were deeply in love.
Once, while singing in the royal court, Lalit lost focus thinking about Lalita.
A serpent named Karkotaka complained, leading the king to curse Lalit into a terrifying demon.

Heartbroken, Lalita followed him into the forests and reached Sage Shringi’s ashram.
The sage advised her to observe Kamada Ekadashi vrat and dedicate its merits to Lalit.

With full devotion, Lalita fasted and prayed to Lord Vishnu. Her faith broke the curse instantly, restoring Lalit’s divine form.
Together, they ascended to Vishnu Loka, proving the immense power of this sacred vrat.
