The UGC NET December 2025 provisional answer key is set to be released on January 15, 2026, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This update follows the UGC NET exam conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, across multiple shifts nationwide.

Once released, candidates will be able to download the answer key, question papers, and recorded responses from the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The provisional key will cover all 85 subjects, helping candidates estimate their scores before the final results.

📅 Important Dates You Must Know

  • Provisional Answer Key Release: January 15, 2026

  • Objection Window: January 15 to January 17, 2026 (till 11:50 PM)

  • Final Answer Key: Last week of January 2026 (expected)

  • Result Declaration: Late January 2026

Each objection will require a fee of ₹200 per question, along with valid supporting proof.

⚠️ Objection Process Explained

Candidates who find discrepancies can challenge the provisional answer key online during the objection window. If the challenge is found valid, the answer key will be revised and the objection fee will be refunded.

Historically, around 1–2% of answers are revised after the challenge process, which can impact cut-offs and final scores.
