The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 marksheets on March 10, 2026, offering candidates a detailed breakdown of their scores. This comes shortly after the final results were announced on March 6, 2026.

The examination saw exceptional performances this year:

  • Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a total of 1071 marks.
  • He scored 867 marks in Mains out of 1750 — the highest written score recorded in the exam.
  • Tejaswini Singh (AIR 62) achieved the highest Interview score with 225 marks out of 275.

These results highlight the intense competition and the importance of balancing both written performance and personality test scores.

The marksheet includes detailed information such as:

  • Candidate name

  • Subject-wise Mains scores

The seven merit-based papers include:

  • Essay
  • General Studies I
  • General Studies II
  • General Studies III
  • General Studies IV

Two qualifying papers — Indian Language and English (300 marks each) — are listed but not counted in the final merit score.

🧠 Exam Structure Recap

The UPSC CSE 2025 Mains Examination, conducted on August 22, 2025, included nine papers:

  • 2 Qualifying Papers – Indian Language and English (300 marks each)
  • 7 Merit Papers – 250 marks each (Total 1750 marks)

After Mains, candidates appeared for the Personality Test (Interview), which carries 275 marks.

The final merit list is calculated by combining:

Mains Score (1750) + Interview Score (275) = Total 2025 Marks

Earlier, Prelims marksheets were also released. The preliminary stage consists of:

  • GS Paper I – 200 marks
  • CSAT – qualifying with 33% minimum score

📈 Cut-offs and Performance Trends

Category-wise cut-offs for the final merit list were competitive this year.

Key trends observed:

  • SC category cut-off was around 890 marks
  • General category cut-off remained significantly higher
  • Top candidates averaged 130+ marks per General Studies paper

Compared to previous years, the 2025 examination recorded slightly higher average Mains scores due to balanced difficulty levels across papers.
